Autobiography
It gives me a pleasure to have this opportunity to introduce myself to you.
My English name is Charles Hunter, and Jiajun Cheng in Chinese. I came from an attractive place, with its name Guanghan, Sichuan, the southwest of China. My parents are farmers, who run some fields there. In my hometown, most inhabitants enjoy leisure when the busy seasons are over. Since materials and resource are abound, people usually call the place “City of Paradise”. We live there for generations. My parents grew up with elementary school education, working laboriously for a living, they wanted their only son to receive the best education available in my city.
I was accordingly sent to school when I was five years old. I had lived up to my parents’ expectation, for my records showed a distinguished achievement at school, beginning from the primary school to the college. I definitely thought marks can’t be the unique criterion to evaluate a person’s worth, but I certainly proved I was able to make it.
The six years of secondary education was unforgettable, I was always my teachers pet students. With the encouragement of my senior middle school English teacher, I participated the National English Proficiency Contest for School Students,1999 and obtained the Third Prize. I was successfully admitted to the Department of Economics&Management, Huaihai Technology Institution, majoring Marketing in September, 2000. During my spare time, I studied Business English and Japanese, for I have always had a burning desire for foreign languages and commerce, I hope to be an internationalized businessman. Therefore I greatly extend my study by doing a lot of outside reading and social practice. In the summer of 2001, I was a seller of intensified wooden floor board in Guanghan , Sichuan and in the winter of 2001, I worked for Hengmao Computer Co.Ltd of Lianyungang, Jiangsu for two months. What’s more, I have performed the sales promotion of solar energy water heaters, stationeries, calculators etc and in November in 2002 to January in 2003, I got a part-time job in Creative Office Automation Co.Ltd and outlined the promoting plan for Proud Gift Company in Lianyungan. Sometimes, I would be tutor to earn my pocket money so as to release the burden of my family, most important of all, to acquire experiences and knowledge in my field work. Besides, I took part in some extra curricular activities, in which I developed interests in computer, sports, music and so on.
Now that I will graduate, it’s time for me to find a suitable job to support my further study and my family, making my parents live a happy life.
As a young man who is enthusiastic, diligent and ambitious, I am sure that I can take any greater responsibility accorded me. It’s my honor to work for you.
